I.A.R. 81C “Great Air Battles of 1944” 1/72 IBG
The Romanian IAR-81, developed from the successful IAR-80 fighter, represented an interesting attempt to combine the capabilities of a fighter with an effective ground-attack role. It first saw combat on the Eastern Front against the Soviet Union, later taking part in the defence of Romania and the strategically important oil fields around Ploiești, before turning its guns against its former German allies in the final stages of the war.
