PZL.37 Łoś 1/72 IBG Models
Lately, Polish manufacturers started to fill a market gap of WWII Polish aircraft subjects in 1/72 scale. Availability of quite nice kits inspired me to build a small Polish aircraft collection. The PZL-37 Łoś must not be excluded.
Modelling the Łoś from IBG was conducted with some nostalgic thoughts as I built one in the distant past as a kid. The IBG kit is well detailed and the build is quite straightforward. Weak points are bad fitting of plastic parts of the belly and lower wing half. There are inaccuracies in the instruction sheet, especially regarding the camouflage options and alternative parts. For those who don’t prefer to work with etched parts, there are no plastic parts for the wheel bay to use instead.
Together with my friends we agreed to display a small collection of PZL aircraft at Tovačov modelling event. Unfortunately, that event (as others) was cancelled and rescheduled due to situation with COVID-19. At least it gave me time, besides finished PZL-23 and PZL-7, to finish PZL-37 Łoś as well. Now, I am ready for Tovačov 2020 and I hope we all meet there in autumn 😉
Excellent work in every regard ..very nice and realistic panel weathering effet in the topside ..no doubt it will be a hit at the next Tovačov show
Thank you for comment. Unfortunately the Tovačov event was definitely cancelled. But it is a challenge for next year to finish another PZL kit 🙂
