Polikarpov I-16 type 10, also known as Mosca (Fly), flown in 1938 during the Spanish Civil War by Eduardo Claudín Moncada. If you want to build a decent model of a Spanish I-16 in 1/72, you need to backdate a later version. I don’t mind, as I enjoy such conversions.

Hawker Hurricane Mk.I 1/72 Arma Hobby

My model depicts a No. 310 Sqn RAF machine, flown during Autumn 1940 by P/O Emil Fechtner, DFC. On October 29, 1940, he collided mid-air with one of his fellow pilots, Jaroslav Maly. While Maly managed to belly land his damaged plane, Fechtner crashed into the ground.

My most recent build is this German sports plane of the early 1930s, the last of a line designed by Willy Messerschmitt. In 1934-1935, Wilhelm Stör won the German Aerobatic Championship in a M.35b. I built his machine from the time of the Berlin 1936 Olympic Games.

De Havilland DH-80A Puss Moth was an aircraft that was a part of the Baťa Company’s air fleet in the 1930s. The company bought three of them (OK-ATG, OK-ATF and OK-ATU), and they were used for business trips as far as to India.

Fouga Magister, one of the famous trainers and competitor of Czechoslovak L-29 Dolphin. The kit is one of the first Special Hobby kits made by standard technology of iron mould. For my initial OOB build I selected a plane obtained by Irish Air Corps.

Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 1/72 Hasegawa

This Bf-109 G6 flown by Arnold Döring belonged to 2/JG-300 Wilde Sau based in Germany in 1943. Due to the unit’s deployment in night fighter operations, the standard day camouflage was adopted by spraying black colour onto fuselage sides and over the white crosses.
